Case Study: Versation
Overview
Versation is a leading provider of student & alumni recruitment and management software. To help grow the business, Versation tasked Anvil with increasing organic visibility in search engines.
Objective
The goal for the overall engagement was to increase overall visibility in organic search results for targeted keyword search phrases.
Challenge
As with many small and growing businesses, Versation had a limited budget and a competitive marketplace with large corporations dominating the landscape.
Strategy
To effectively compete with larger competitors for targeted search phrases, Anvil started by recommending cleaning up the source code (including the use of iframes). Anvil also optimized site copy for targeted keywords without impacting existing messaging and voice. Lastly, Anvil recommended the development of additional content to enhance organic visibility.
Results
Within two months, organic search visibility increased from 0 to 46 percent for the top 8 target keyword phrases. Anvil’s efforts resulted in 19 listings in the top 10. The net effect for Versation was a noticeable increase in leads (even from as far away as Africa).
