In October of 2000, Anvil’s President and Founder, Kent Lewis, invested $2,000 in a used laptop and business cards to launch his new business. Originally meant to be a temporary marketing consultancy in between jobs, Lewis decided to commit to Anvil full-time, hiring employees in late 2003 after completing two short-term contract engagements and co-founding an email marketing agency in the interim.
