Import Your Goals from Google Analytics into AdWords
by Anvil on August 30, 2010Pay-Per-Click (PPC)Did you know that in addition to tracking conversions using the AdWords conversion tracking pixel, you can also IMPORT data from Goals that are configured in your linked Google Analytics account? Well, if you didn’t know it before, consider yourself now informed.
This isn’t a new feature – it’s been up and running for a little over year. However, we still see a lot of AdWords advertisers & Google Analytics users not taking advantage of the Import Goals feature. This is a helpful & handy feature for a couple of reasons:
1) Get revenue & transaction data from your Google Analytics data for your campaigns, keywords and ads
2) Use this data to inform your bidding strategies, including CPA bidding and Conversion Optimizer
To get started, just go Conversions on the Reporting tab of your AdWords account and select “Import from Google Analytics” – select the goals you which to import and VOILA!
Note that your AdWords must be LINKED to your Google Analytics account for this option to be visible.
