FeedBurner Migrates RSS Ad Network to Sites
by Kent Lewis on May 26, 2006UncategorizedFeedBurner, a major player in RSS advertising, will expand their ad reach to content publishers, meaning mainly bloggers. The ads would appear in either text format or a 300×250 rectangle graphic ad. Advertisers can choose to run ads in every content post, every other, every third and so on. In order to participate, publishers need to insert a line of code into their page templates.
By entering into this category, FeedBurner is going up against contextual ad giants like Google, Yahoo and Kanoodle, as well as blog ad provider BlogAds. FeedBurner’s new ads will be priced on a CPM basis, and with targeting new sites/blogs there will be that many more impressions and opportunities to generate revenue.
