When it comes to pet peeves of Internet users, the list is long, and site owners should take notice. Many of the frustrations for users boil down to “features” that are standing between them and the information that they want to view. Pop-ups, not surprisingly, tops the list of peeves, followed by requiring log-in/registration, and requiring extra software installation to view content. Web sites will be well served to listen to what their public has to say, as 75% of users surveyed in the eMarketer study said the would be unlikely to revisit the offending site.
