Technorati has come out with updated numbers regarding the current state of the blogosphere. The last time this report was publicized was last October.

• Blogosphere is over 60 times bigger than it was 3 years ago
• Blogosphere is doubling in size every 5.5 months
• 27.2 million total blogs are being tracked by Technorati
• 75,000 new blogs are created every day
• 9% of new blogs are considered SPAM
• 13.7 million bloggers (roughly 50%) are still posting 3 months after the creation of their blogs
• Last October this number was roughly 10.4 million bloggers
• 2.7 million bloggers (rougly 10%) update their blogs weekly
