Google Tests Longer AdWords Description

According to a post on Search Engine Lowdown, via MarketingVOX, a email invitation was recently sent out to AdWords beta testers allowing them to use up to 200 characters in their ad descriptions. The current limit is 70 characters. The change is reportedly to determine if the longer ad text will increase click-through. Exact layouts of the extended text are still in testing.
