PORTLAND, Ore. (December 13, 2011) – Anvil Media, Inc., a search engine marketing (SEM) and social media marketing (SMM) services agency, recently announced a cash donation of $2,500 to The Pixie Project, a Portland-based animal rescue organization.

The founders of The Pixie Project are committed to changing the image of a “rescue” or shelter animal. While some animals come to The Pixie Project seeking medical or behavioral attention not accessible in a typical shelter, many Pixie Project “kids” are professionally trained, family friendly pets whose circumstances have left them in need of a new home.
“As a relatively new non-profit, donations of this size can be hard to come by. Anvil’s donation went directly to our free and low cost spay and neuter fund which allowed for 51 dogs to be altered thereby preventing the birth of literally thousands of homeless puppies. Anvil’s generosity had a huge impact on our ability to help our community during a very difficult economic time where often the care of the animal becomes a last priority. We are grateful beyond words for the kindness and generosity of this exceptional business,” stated Amy Sacks, co-founder of The Pixie Project.
