Google Wallet – Use Your Phone as a Wallet

Google announced their new mobile eCommerce solution, Google Wallet, today.  Google Wallet will allow consumers to store credit card information securely in their phones to make purchases.  Customers can now more efficiently use coupons and offers from Google paid and local search in the checkout process, as the coupons will automatically sync to the customers Google Wallet.

The image below from Google’s blog post, shows how a transaction can be completed with Google Wallet.

Several big name retailers are working with Google to integrate Google Wallet point of sales systems into brick and motor stores including Subway, Peet’s Coffee, Foot Locker, Walgreens, Toys “R” Us, Bloomingdale’s, American Eagle and more.  While Google Wallet hasn’t been released, consumers with the Sprint’s Nexus S 4G by Google phone will be able to use the free app and only if they have a Citi MasterCard…

Does anyone have a Nexus S 4G phone and a Citi MasterCard? That is the question.
