Why Content Optimization is Important for Your Website Presence

Today is the third installment of the recap from the Lunch and Learn I presented on the First Steps for Onsite Optimization. In our first recap, we talked about Keyword Development, and in the second recap we looked at using the keywords we found were the most commonly searched in the Title Tag optimization of a site. In today’s post and video clip we will begin talking about using the keywords in the development of content for the website.

Content Development

Now that you have determined what keywords are being searched for and have updated the title tag optimization of the pages on your website it’s time to update the existing content of the website and/or create new content that includes the keywords and their similar terms. As you will see from the points listed below, it is imperative to provide text content on the pages of your website so the search engines can index your website effectively.

Write Solid, Compelling Website Content

Content Length – Top Level Pages/Product Pages

Content Length – Informational Pages, Blog Posts, Articles, etc.
