Google has confirmed that it is testing a new service called Google Base – a method of structured content submission that would compete with classified providers and e-tailing giants. Screenshots of Google Base – that were obtained by bloggers before it was taken – shows possibilities to list cars for sale, business service descriptions, want ads, travel information and much more. The site appears to allow manual content entry and an option for XML feed uploads.
