Anvil Employee Profile: Jordan Marshall

Anvil is happy to introduce our new SEO Specialist, Jordan Marshall! She recently graduated from the University of Oregon where she discovered her passion for all things digital marketing.

Why did you choose a career in digital marketing?

I chose to pursue a career in digital marketing because it combines my love for numbers and analytics with my creative side and writing skills. In college, I discovered my passion for content creation, social media and SEO and found that a career in digital marketing allowed me to not have to give up any of my interests.

What are your strengths? What areas of digital marketing are your favorite?

My strengths involve data analysis and writing/editing, as well as critical thinking and social skills. These translate well into the SEO side of digital marketing, which happens to be my favorite area of the industry. I also love web design, social media, and influencer marketing.

What attracted you to Anvil?

Anvil really impressed me with their work and clients, and it was not hard to see that this company was full of innovative and creative people. Once I did more research on Anvil’s mission/values and got to meet with some of the team members, I knew that I would align well with the goals of the company. I also enjoyed the smaller size of the company and could tell that they value and respect their employees.

What about your role most excites you?

Simply put, I am most excited about everything I am going to learn. Coming out of college during the pandemic was a challenging task and I am excited to get valuable work experience under my belt, while performing skills and tasks that I truly love.

What digital marketing influencers, blogs, podcasts, or publications do you find most informative for your career?

I love the Search Engine Journal show podcast as well as the Search Engine Journal blog/subscription. I also enjoy following Ann Handley, who created MarketingProfs and ClickZ, two sources for digital marketing education and news that I love to keep up with.
