Stahancyk, Kent & Hook (SKH) is a Pacific Northwest-based family law firm serving clients in Oregon and Washington since 1986. Anvil designed and built an award-winning website in 2013 for the family law firm that served them well for many years. Anvil also provided additional digital marketing support after the site launch, but after a few years, SKH needed to evolve its online presence to accurately reflect its leadership role in the marketplace and reengaged Anvil for a site refresh and SEO support.
Goal
The family law firm was interested in achieving a few goals with the Anvil engagement. The first was to refresh the WordPress site to make it easier to manage and maintain internally. The second objective was to improve site speed, as both Google and humans appreciate a fast, responsive website. Lastly, SKH wanted to refresh functionality, navigation, and content to reflect the evolving law firm’s services, team, and clientele.
Strategy
Anvil’s approach to the website refresh was to leverage what made the site unique while updating the back end to make it current and fast. The original website was ahead of its time and aged well from a creative perspective. Anvil focused on cleaning up the back-end code, updated the CMS to Divi for easier maintenance, and ensured the SKH team was trained on how to effectively utilize the new platform and functionality. In addition to tuning up the site speed and streamlining navigation, Anvil make sure the new website was optimized based on the latest SEO best practices, including schema markup and other local SEO elements.
Results
With the newly refreshed website, Anvil was able to achieve the following performance improvements pre and post-launch (a 3-month window):
