John has been active in the Portland startup community for over 10 years, founding and selling an edtech company while serving on several boards. After college he lived in Tokyo for three years before returning to start Versation, a software company that helps universities recruit students. He sold Versation to Berlitz and is now driving new strategic initiatives there.
