Does it still make sense to pay the $299 annual fee to get your site listed within the Yahoo Directory? There are mixed responses in the HighRankings.com discussion forum. Some feel it is worth the link (and money) because it shows search engines that you are serious about improving your site. While others say the Yahoo Directory doesn’t hold as much value as they used to because Yahoo now uses a redirect instead of a direct link. It is really up to the site owner whether or not to pay the annual fee. If you have the budget to do so, it certainly can’t hurt.
