Challenge:
The Little America Hotel at Flagstaff, Arizona had a very small fan base on Facebook and difficulty engaging with fans.
Strategy:
Anvil recommended that before the hotel dedicate too much time and energy engaging with such a small audience, tactics should be executed in order to grow the fan base so that engagement efforts reached a wider audience and had a bigger impact. To do this, Anvil launched a contest using a 3rd party application to develop a highly custom tab that allowed users to enter the contest directly within Facebook and only after they had “liked” the page. Anvil promoted the contest via geo targeted Facebook ads.
Results:
- Total likes increased by 288%
- Total comments increased by 275%
- Total wall posts increased by 325%
- Over 1,000 contest entrants
