Challenge:
Being a non-profit the Cork Forest Conservation Alliance didn’t have available budget for increasing awareness through paid advertising, so they needed to utilize their Google Grant to grow awareness online. While Google Grant provides funding to non-profits it comes with several guidelines and restrictions. This presented an additional challenge since the non-profit market is extremely competitive with high costs for prime keywords.
Strategy:
Anvil utilized Google for Nonprofits’ Google Grants program to set up PPC advertising and focused on low cost keywords that would drive traffic while still fitting into Google Grants’ guideline of a maximum CPC of $1.00.
Results:
Within the first month after the PPC campaigns were launched traffic from the online ads accounted for 32% of total traffic to the site. Also, overall traffic to the site increased 54% over the previous month.
