Case Study: Fertility Retreats
Overview
FertilityRetreats.com
is an online resource for infertility treatments and registration
for a 90 day intensive program for couples having trouble conceiving.
Recently developed and hosted by Dr. Randine Lewis, the retreat program
is an experiment based on patient feedback and is meant to be a test
for a more extensive future rollout.
Objective
The goal of the Web site is to generate qualified prospects and registrations
for the new retreat program. Secondary goals include sales of books
on Amazon.com as well as email newsletter subscribers.
Challenge
The original microsite developed for the retreat was a series of videos,
which offered no opportunity for optimization and promotion. With
only a few months until the scheduled retreat, Anvil had to act quickly
to meet registration goals.
Strategy
Anvil partnered with eROI, Inc. to build a content-rich site that
would perform well in search engines, as well as better service the
visitor's needs. eROI also integrated its email platform into
the Web site for lead capture, conversion and customer support. Once
the site was optimized, it was promoted via SEO and PPC activities
to generate qualified traffic to the site.
Results
With only a few months to promote the site, Anvil was able to surpass
the minimum of 20 online registrants and generate 200 opt-in email
newsletter subscribers. The first event was scheduled for February
and was a successful test leading to a rollout of the entire series
of retreats.
As of the end of February, Fertility Enhancing Retreats was booked
solid through the end of April, and they are now offering two five-day
retreats per month beginning May 1 to keep up with the demand.
