Case Study: Auctionpay
Overview
Auctionpay is dedicated to helping nonprofits automate and improve benefit event fundraising. Auctionpay's solutions help local, regional and national nonprofit organizations and schools create better donor experiences, while saving organizations time and money.
Objective
Auctionpay offers free downloads that provide tips, best practices and event planning. The primary objective was to increase the number of users downloading this information, which would also mean an increase in leads.
Challenge
Keywords regarding nonprofit, benefit auctions and auction software are very competitive and Anvil wanted to be sure to keep Auctionpay's cost per conversion as low as possible, while generating the biggest ROI possible.
Strategy
After assessing PPC campaign performance, Anvil was able to suggest additional keywords that Auctionpay wasn't currently targeting that could generate a nice return. In addition to keyword suggestions, Anvil also revised their campaign structure and wrote new ad text. Finally, Anvil suggested taking users directly to the download pages instead of the homepage, which helped users find the information they were looking for more easily.
Results
After implementing Anvil's recommendations in early May 2006, Auctionpay's conversion rate has increased 277% and their cost per conversion has decreased 206%. Auctionpay is receiving more leads through their PPC campaign than they ever had before.
