Attensa is a leading provider of Enterprise RSS software including RSS readers and an RSS Server. Attensa partnered with Anvil Media to help expand its online presence and drive leads.

Anvil's objective was to increase Attensa's online visibility, overall site traffic and generate leads for their RSS products.

Challenge
A competitive marketplace required Anvil to examine opportunities for visibility beyond traditional search engine optimization (SEO). In an industry with growing competition, it was essential for Attensa to establish visibility on authoritative sites where potential customers conduct research.

Strategy
Anvil began by identifying an opportunity to drive qualified traffic, leads and increase Attensa's search engine visibility through Wikipedia articles. A thorough understanding of Wikipedia and its editors helped Anvil effectively create informative articles about Attensa and its RSS products. Strategically linking articles together to help funnel Wikipedia traffic would increase traffic to Attensa's website. Additionally, optimizing the articles around Attensa's targeted keywords would ensure that the articles were well positioned in the search engine rankings resulting in more traffic to the articles and Attensa's website.

Results
Shortly after creating the Wikipedia articles, Anvil was able to generate the following results* for Attensa:

  • 258 leads generated from Wikipedia, increasing overall leads by 4 percent
  • Overall leads from Wikipedia went from 0 to an average of 65 leads per month
  • 1,049 referring visits from Wikipedia, increasing overall site traffic by 4 percent
  • Wikipedia traffic had a 18 percent higher average conversion rate than the site average
