SEM Research Phase

The SEM research phase provides an opportunity to set initial benchmarks for key metrics and associated strategies required to achieve desired SEM goals (i.e. awareness, leads or sales). This phase includes competitive visibility and site performance benchmarking that enables Anvil to set goals and develop strategies to achieve them. At the core of the competitive research is extensive keyword analysis. The output is adapted for unpaid (a.k.a. organic or natural) and paid (a.k.a. pay-per-click or PPC) search engine placement.

SEM Launch Phase

Once a Web site’s content and code is properly optimized for search engines (a.k.a. search engine optimization or SEO), the site is submitted to top tier search engines and directories. To further increase traffic and visibility Anvil may also implement an online PR strategy, including link development. If the research phase validates paid placement as an outreach strategy, Anvi l configures and manages the campaign.

SEM Maintenance Phase

Once the SEM Launch Phase is completed, Anvil ensures the investment-to-date is maximized by continually monitoring, fine-tuning and promoting Web site content, code and paid listings. Month-end reports detail ongoing activities and results, ranging from search engine visibility to Web-based sales conversions.
